Report Junk or Phishing Mails in Outlook
If you receive a suspicious or unwanted email, please report it directly from Outlook — this helps improve our mail filter and keeps everyone’s inbox safer.
You can do this in two ways:
1. Select the message, then go to the “Home” tab → click “Report Message” (or “Report Phishing”).

2. Or: Right-click the email → choose “Report” → “Junk” or “Phishing”.

When you use the “Report Message” add-in, the email is sent to Microsoft (and, if configured, to our mail filtering system) — helping train the spam filters to recognize similar messages in the future.
NOTE: If users only use "Mark as Junk" (right-click → Junk → Block sender), this primarily trains Outlook locally and Microsoft cloud filters, but not necessarily our organization's own email filter. Therefore, please always use the "Report Message" button in the menu bar whenever possible.
Thank you and best regards,
